Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue
Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue would like to thank
Brookline would again like to thank Pedigree® food for dogs, a brand of
Mars for a 2011 donation of  $891.00 through the Pedigree Adoption
Drive foundation.  The Pedigree Adoption Drive Foundation is used to
help shine the spotlight on the plight of homeless dogs. Through no fault
of their own, more than four million dogs end up in shelters and breed
rescues every year. Sadly, nearly half of those canines never find a place
to call home, a trend that the Pedigree Adoption Drive Foundation hopes
to help reverse. The volunteers of Brookline share the foundation’s
concern for homeless dogs and look forward to making use of this grant
in the continuing challenges and rewards of this endeavor to rescue one
until there is none. Special thanks to volunteer Gwen for her successful
grant writing efforts.

2009 Paws Across Pa Donors
Thank you to all of our donors, vendors, and walkers for coming out to our 7th Annual
Paws Across PA Walkathon and Pet Fair.  Despite the inclement weather, spirits were
not dampened and this event has been deemed a  SUCCESS!  We managed to hit our
goal of raising $5,000 and surpassed it bringing in more than $5,500!  We could not
have done it without you!
Build-A-Bear Workshop
Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue (BLRR) wishes to thank the Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs
Foundation
for awarding us a $1,000 grant.  The Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation is
committed to making life more bearable for children, families and pets, in need of a helping paw.  With
the sale of each full-sized Bearemy’s Kennel Pals® friend -- a collection of Build‑A‑Bear Workshop®
plush dogs -- one dollar is donated to domestic pet programs including local animal shelters, stray pet
rescue and rehabilitation organizations, and pet education programs around the country.  These funds
are available to qualified non-profit organizations in the United States and Canada through a quarterly
grant process.  Visit
www.buildabear.com for more information.
A Great BIG Thank You !
The volunteers of Brookline would like to offer our gratitude and
heart  felt thanks to all those who saw the plight of Jake and
Gunner and  answered the call. Because of your incredible
kindness and generosity we have reached our goal! Jake and
Gunner will get the medical care they need. As we all watch
these guys recover we hope you recognize that you are one of
our greatest sources of strength. Your compassion and
commitment to these labs proved second to none. It is from the
bottom of our hearts that we say to you:
Thank You!
