Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue
Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
Turbo
Hi all, it's me Turbo here and let me tell you ...life is good!   You see I came into Brookline's care when my original owner's life situation
changed and he could no longer keep me and my fur sister Gracie.   Luckily for us, he knew about Brookline and the wonderful job they
do finding their labs new homes.  He wanted nothing but the best for me and Gracie!

I stayed with a fabulous foster family and their resident dog Casey, who took me under their wings for over a month.  I was with them
when I first met my furever family at a Brookline event up in Perkasie.   They thought I was so handsome and loved my shiny black coat.
They could see I had been very well cared for and they could not believe how well-behaved I was.  Their boys gave me belly rubs, which
I'm especially fond of, and I was a perfect gentleman in accepting their treats.   It was love at first sight!   They submitted their application
to adopt me that week and we were matched just in time for my 7th birthday!  See...birthday wishes really do come true!
My new furever family has three active young boys and a very busy schedule, which took some getting use to.   I adjusted rather quickly,
although I admit I was alittle depressed the first week.  I missed my owner, my fur sister Gracie and the foster family that took such great
care of me.    Well, it's been six weeks now in my new furever home and I'm a different dog!!!  I've shed a few pounds with all the activity
and I've definitely come out of my shell.

I really enjoy car rides and my family takes me everywhere with them.  I'm an official member of the family.  I'm the team mascot at all the
boys soccer and baseball games.   I get walked several times a day and I enjoy playing and lounging in my big backyard.  My favorite part
of the day is going up to the bus stop to greet all the kids and other dogs in the morning.  I am the first dog to go into play bow when I
meet my fellow fur friends and I Iove all the attention the kids give me.   I'm even allowed up on my younger brother's bus to say hello to
the kids and the bus driver gives me a treat everytime.  How many other dogs can say they've been on a school bus?

While the kids are at school, I'm either walking with mom or chillin by her side.   Don't get me wrong, I adore my brothers, but it's nice to
get all mom's attention and I'm not minding the peace and quiet at home either!  Mom is never shy with the belly rubs, in fact, I noticed a
bald spot the other day, but I'm not telling her because I do not want her to stop.   Mom also plans plenty of playdates and walks with my
new girlfriend Bailey.  Yes, sorry all you lady labs out there, but the "Big T" has a girlfriend and she's a fine young black lab you'd be
proud to bring home to mom!

My new family is so very happy to have me.  They really missed their yellow lab who went to doggy heaven last summer at the ripe age of
14.  They waited a year till they were ready to get another lab and I was well-worth the wait!  It's a win-win situation!

So my story ends happily and I've got my furever after.  I would like to especially thank Robyn, all the wonderful volunteers from Brookline
and my awesome foster family.  I've found my furever home and I'm lovin all the car rides, walks, playdates and belly rubs.   What more
could a lab ask for?

P.S. Send some kisses to Gracie and tell her my mom is going to set up another playdate real soon.  I miss you fur sister and I hope
you're as happy in your furever home as I am in mine!
