Pride
                  Maximum Pride:

I am 9 yrs old, an AR breeder male " I
know, for men to die for"  Now I'm a dog
living with a 12 + yr old female Brit, a
younger dog to 13 yr old sister Taz who
died at home w the family in August, very
peacefully.  Brit has known another dog all
her life, so I have big paws to fill.  Brit and I
got along right away, of course we were
both in unfamiliar territory.  We met in a
parking lot and had to ride over an hour in
a car to get there,  something neither of us
were accustomed to.  We were polite, a
good start according to the volunteers Jen
and Barb.  I understand Barb is instrumental in finding the AR dogs homes.  " Home vs A kennel Ahh!"  We thought I might be house
trained because I never pottied in my indoor kennel, I'm not.  Houses are different but I'm learning one room at a time.  I'm up to 2
rooms and sometimes walk thought the others with supervision.

I live on a non-working farm, along with Brit, Mary Anne and Beth. First chore was to get a bath, although the farm girls didn't think my
smell was so bad.  Yeah,  until after the dog wash.  Then I had my photo taken for the volunteers  At first my nose was to the ground
with grass and dirt smells, now 5 wks later my nose is up in the air outside as well as in the kitchen.   I have a very large kennel run,
much bigger than my breeder kennel and a home with a fire place in the kitchen and many rooms to explore.  Oh, the best, access to a
pond and fields and tree lines yet to explore when I can answer to commands like come, heel and stay.

I eat side by side w/ Brit.  I can tell she plans to teach me things I never dreamed of, like ground hog hunting , squirrel watching, rabbit
watching and pond swimming, yikes!!!   I already sit for treats, which is progress because at first I could only eat out of a bowl or
cupped hand.  I did not know how to eat from fingers.  I can sleep inside or outside the crate for now.  I plan to be out of the crate when
spring comes or there is not so much snow.  I might not remember the February Fury of 2010.  Thank you farm girls for taking the extra
effort in the winter.  I am worth it, YES!

The farm girls accepted me un neutered with their prize female Brit, neutered.  Very Brave I'd say!.  I was a gentleman as asked to by
Barb a BLRR volunteer, it was the last word I heard her say.  Who can refuse a volunteer.
I'm neutered now & micro chipped and able to be off leash under supervision, loving it.  I am registered for training, yes, an old dog can
learn new tricks or better habits,  Before I forget, coming from AR without any bedding or toys, bedding is to die for and toys are OK.

Last but not least , dogs have dreams too.  Obviously I am a great breeder stud, I don't know how many great pups I sired in nine yrs
but AR took care of me all my life and my health records prove it, 100 %. Now I am a dog with a family instead of an occupation, AHH!!!!

Adopt, adopt and adopt, ask me!

PS My name is now BRO.  I was called Pride, my kennel name, it upset Brit because it sounded to much like ride (she knows what it
means) so now I am her bro. " I have a nickname, cool"
