Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
|

Hi all you Brookline fans, this is Emma.
I'm five months old now. Started life in West Virginia with no place to call my own. Thanks to
Brookline and all the wonderful volunteers I'm home now, a permanent member of my new
family, my mom Pat and dad Dennis, and twin sisters Jamie and Stacey.
Life is great, although I think mom and dad are trying to change my name because
sometimes I hear them refer to me as "The Barracuda". Something to do with mouthy
behavior, but I'm getting better with that :) I have a nice safe place to live with my family that
loves me, lots of toys and food, a nice soft, warm place to sleep, and best of all, walks, LOTS
OF WALKS. Once I'm old enough mom and dad said they'll take me to the dog park so I can
run and run and run. Did I tell you I like to run??? What more could a cute Lab puppy ask for?
I'm in this game for the long haul.
Mom and dad tell me I'm going to be "fixed" soon!!! I'm confused because I don't think I'm
broken, and the Vet said I was very healthy. Oh well, humans are strange sometimes. Mom
and dad also tell me I have to go to obedience training. I'll give it a try, but after all I'm a puppy
you know, and I get distracted easily, so I make no promises. I figure I'll be an adult soon
enough and will be settled down before you know it, so for now I'm going to enjoy being a
puppy as long as I can.
Well, I just told dad that it's time for a walk but before I go I want to give a shout out to
Brookline and all of their dedicated volunteers for helping those of us that can't help
ourselves, and a very, very special thanks to volunteers Mary, Peggy, Carole, and my foster
mom Patti for making this dream come true. I promise I will make you all proud of me.
Hugs, kisses and a pounce to you all.
Love,
Emma (and family)
