Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
|
My name is Samantha but my friends call me Sammy. I used to live with 2
other chocolate fursisters but my family had to give us up and we couldn’t all
stay together.
I have a new furbrother named Beau. Beau is almost 12 years old and my
forever family wanted to adopt me so Beau would have a friend. He had just
lost his fursister and was very lonely.
I have adjusted quickly to my new home. I have really made myself at home. I
like to lie on my furbrother’s bed and sometimes lay down with him (he is still
not too sure about this though). I also like to play with all of his toys, which I
am working, on sharing with him.
I start my day very early with a walk with my furbrother and my dad. This walk is
not a long walk because I go side by side with my Beau and he doesn’t walk as far as he used to. After we
get our exercise in, we eat our breakfast, and then it’s back to bed. I have two real nice visitors during the
day. Our pet sitter comes at lunchtime to let us out. Later in the day a neighbor comes over to play. It sure
is nice having company during the day. When my mom gets home from work, she and I go for a longer
walk so I can get some more exercise. My furbrothers doesn’t go with us so I can go farther. I am really
enjoying my walks.
I love my new back yard and have quickly learned the invisible fence. I have had lots of fun playing in the
back yard especially in the snow. I even have chased a Frisbee a couple of times. I also like to sit and
watch my furbrother play. I am trying to learn to play better with him.
I just started obedience training and really like the idea of getting a treat for everything I do. I am very well
behaved but need some formal command training. The one thing I like to do is lay on the sofa. My
furbrother is not allowed on the furniture but I sneak downstairs in the morning when mom and dad are
getting ready for work and snuggle on the couch. When I get caught, I do get off. Hopefully on of these
times they will let me stay and snooze!
Thanks Brookline for finding me my new forever home.
