Greetings from Hershey to all my friends in labbie-land. I am writing to tell you I'm home!
Remember in The Wizard of Oz, how Dorothy was told to click her heels together three times and say, "There's no place like home..."?
Well, here's a little-known fact about that: Toto was clicking HIS heels too. And of course with all that clicking going on, Dorothy and Toto
both found themselves at home, where they wanted to be.
So I got to thinking, maybe I should try that. I had already decided that my foster home should be my furever home, but it seems I needed
some magic to get my foster mom to see it that way. So-o-o-o, I've been clicking my paws--front and back--like crazy. And whispering
under my breath, "There's no place like home." And guess what? It worked! It will be official tomorrow: my foster mom will become my
furever mom. And I will be the furever canine resident in my
own home sweet home! I am one happy pupper!

I started to suspect the paw-clicking was starting to work a few weeks ago, when Mom first invited me to sleep overnight in her bedroom.
Until then, I was sleeping in my crate, because Mom wasn't convinced I could be trusted out of the crate all night. So when she let me
come upstairs to sleep, I knew it was my chance to show her what a good girl I could be. I have been an angel, if I do say so myself. In
retrospect, I think Mom had already decided I would be staying for keeps, but my excellent "overnight manners" really clinched the deal. (I
wonder if Mom heard all the paw-clicking and whispering I was doing every night??)
Anyway, I wanted to share my good news with all my Brookline friends. And I want to thank everyone SO MUCH for making this possible!
I know I was a real challenge when I first came to Brookline, and it took teamwork to bring me to the point where I could go into a foster
home. Special thanks to my good buddies Harry and Rachel and Nancy!
And please tell all your foster puppers about the magic trick they should try when they think they've found their furever home:
