Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue
Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
Charlie
Hi.  My name is Charlie although my new family likes to call me
"Chuckles".  (I guess I make them laugh with all the cute things I do!)  I
was surrendered by my family because they felt they didn't have enough
time to spend with me due to their work and travel schedules.  They
made the ultimate sacrifice and asked Brookline to find me a new
home where I wouldn't be alone so much.  And let me tell you - they
made a great job matching me with my new family! I live in a house now
with a big fenced-in backyard.  I LOVE to race back and forth at top
speed to get all my energy out.  Oh - I also have my own kid now - she's
7 years old.  She is lots of fun because she runs around and plays with
me a lot.  I like to tease her by stealing her stuffed animals, even when
she hides them under her covers!   (But I know not to destroy them.)  I
go out every morning to the bus stop to send her off to school and I'm
waiting for her when she gets home.  There are lots of dogs at the bus
stop in the morning that I get to play with.  Sometimes we play so hard
that I spend the rest of the day sleeping!   There are also lots of kids at
the bus stop that love to pet me.  I really love being the center of attention!  I also live with a cat now.  I really like him and I'm pretty sure
he really likes me (even though I ate a lot of his toys when I first got here).   We like to lay at the front door together and watch the world
go by.  The neighbors think we're adorable when we do that - especially since we match (our fur is the same color)!  My new mom
really likes it when I lay on the couch with my head in her lap and the cat is laying on her chest.  She says that is heaven.  I have lots of
toys and I get to sleep wherever I want - my favorite place to sleep is on the bed.  I'm the first one in bed so I can stake out my spot - I'm
a big boy and take up a lot of room, especially when I sleep on my back.  I love belly rubs!  In the last few weeks, I've really settled in
and I now know this is my "furever" home. Thanks Brookline!!!
Love, Charlie"
