Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
|

My husband and I were still grieving for the loss of our 13 year old yellow lab
retriever Barney that died 6 months earlier. Brookline Lab Rescue was
going to be at a local pet store, and I told my husband that we should go
"just to look." As soon as I walked in I was drawn like a magnet to this
beautiful black lab. I fell in love with her immediately. Her foster mom
Cheryl was there with her. She and I both cried, her because she only had
Zoey a week and we were interested in her and me because I thought
Barney would be mad at us because we were replacing him. A couple of
weeks later we brought Zoey home. She has filled a void in our house that
existed for the past 6 months. She is a very sweet, gentle, lovable Velcro
lab. She knows her commands and is housetrained, and loves car rides
and walks. Our family is now complete, thanks to Cheryl for being her
foster mom and Stacy for making it all possible.
