Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
|

My name is Riley and I was lucky enough to be rescued from a bad place by the really nice people at Brookline when I was 4-months
old. I lived with a great foster family for a couple of weeks and they taught me so many things that I never learned before. Then I went
to live with a new mommy and daddy who were very sad because they lost their best doggie friend after having him for 15 years.
I was pretty scared at first and it took me a while to feel comfortable again in my new home. Did I tell you that I really don’t like to ride
in cars and that I didn’t want to go outside and play at all? Turns out that my mommy and daddy had so much patience with me and
you wouldn’t believe all the things we can do together now! We play and run a lot because I’m a puppy, you know. I go to doggie
daycare a few days a week so I learn how to play nice with other dogs (yea!), some days I stay at home while my daddy does this thing
called “work” (boring!), and some days we all go to our boat where there are a lot of other dogs for me to play with (yea!). I still don’t
like cars so much, but I don’t get sick anymore like I used to and that seems to make everyone happy.
I am so happy in my new home and my new family always kisses and hugs me and gives me really good treats. The neighbor family
is so nice to me too, and they come over to walk me some days. The best thing is that my mommy and daddy are not so sad anymore
and they say we are going to be a happy family for a really long time!

Update: My new family has this thing called a boat and I got to take my very first cruise on Memorial Day weekend.
Check out my adventure!
No happy face, no
wiggling rear.
Very, very cautious.
Wooahhh..this thing
moves!!!
I guess after a few
minutes, he figured
he was ok and he
knew we were both
with him, so he took a
little more interest…
Ok, ok…. Now we're
feeling a little better
And, not too long
after, the gentle
rocking motion
works its magic…...
Once we found our
spot for the day, we
dropped the anchor,
had some lunch
and then I took Riley
out on the upper
deck to show him all
the birds
Hope everyone had a great holiday too!
