Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue
Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
Hi!  My name is Reggie, and I was born in July 2007.  When I was 4 months old my
family decided that they really couldn’t take care of me anymore (we puppies are oh-so-
cute, but a LOT of work!), so they contacted the nice people at Brookline to help find me
a new home where the people had enough energy to play with a lab pup.  See, I knew a
few commands, but I needed to learn how to listen more, and I wanted to be able to get
a lot of exercise!

Lucky for me, I was matched with my new parents – Lance and Laura.  Believe it or not,
my Mom never owned a dog before!  My dad had lots of experience with loving labs, so
he showed my Mom the ropes real fast, and she caught on quickly.  I’m the only dog in
the house, but I have a lot of fun playing with my friends in the neighborhood.  There are
LOTS of dogs on my street!  Surrounding my yard are a golden retriever, a collie, 2
Dachshunds, a Chihuahua, and a poodle.  I LOVE playing with my new buddies,
especially the Dachshunds – every time I hear them outside I let my parents know I want
to go out to play with them.  We run and chase each other up and down the fence.  I even
get to play with kids sometimes, since my mom has nephews and nieces who love me
a lot.

I’ve gotten to do lots of neat stuff with my parents.  They take me to the dog park a lot,
and play with me tons.  They really like playing ball with me, but I turn it into a game of
chase because I don’t like to give it back!   I also love going for looooooong walks.  My
mom brushes me every night and I sit like a good boy because I like getting brushed

(plus she gives me a treat after she’s done!).  I can’t wait until the summer, because my parents keep telling me that we go to a lake a
lot and I can’t wait to try this swimming thing I keep hearing about.  It sounds fun!

Sometimes my mom and dad let me sleep with them, but usually I like to sleep on my own bed in their room and wake them up with
kisses in the morning.  I’m a big cuddler!

My parents are so grateful to the nice Brookline lady, Tami, who helped them find me.  She kept telling them to be patient, that the right
dog would find them, and boy am I glad it was me!
