Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
|
Hi! My name is Charlie, but my Mom calls me “Charlie
Brown!” when she’s letting me know that I’m doing something
naughty like stealing tissues from the wastebasket.
Mom and Dad lost their best friend of 13 years, another
chocolate Lab named Bullet, on New Year’s Eve, and just
knew they couldn’t bear to be without a special buddy. So
they contacted Brookline, and once approved, a wonderful
volunteer named Nancy helped them find me!
I was a puppy mill puppy who was fortunate enough to be
“rescued” along with my brother and 2 sisters, and placed
with my wonderful foster moms, Peggy and Mary. They also
have 4 Labs – so I learned a lot when I lived there. What a fun
place to stay!

I was 7 months old when I came to live with Mom and Dad (Jim and Sue), and though shy at first, I have quickly become very
comfortable. The best part is that my Dad just recently retired, so I have his undivided attention all day long. Mom and Dad have 4
wonderful acres of land for me to explore, and my favorite pastime is retrieving sticks and chasing birds! Luckily there is a pond next
door, and I spend a lot of time letting the ducks and geese know who’s boss! Guess what my favorite toy is??? A stuffed duck that
quacks!!!
Mom and Dad adore me, and I never get tired of the hugs and kisses. I even get to sneak up on their bed at night and cuddle right
between them!
Now Mom and Dad are looking to rescue another special buddy for me, as there’s nothing I love more than to play with other dogs.
However, I’m going to let the new “addition” know that I have first “dibs” on the bed!!!!
I am so thankful to all of the wonderful people at Brookline who cared enough to rescue me and my brothers and sisters, and give me a
chance to show what a smart and lovable boy I am!
Thanks Brookline! I am now living the GOOD life!
