Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue
Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
What a sad and forlorn looking boy I was when I came in to foster care with BLRR. My time was running out at a shelter. Before that I
lived my whole life tied to a tree. My front legs worked ok but my back legs lost muscle tone in them because I hardly got to move
them. Then my family moved away and just left me out there tied to that old tree. I had never lived in a house before and boy did I like
it! A warm bed just for me, baths, brushings and all the petting - I thought I may have died and went to heaven! My foster family said I
was a diamond in the rough. Well, you should see me now. I hold my head up high and I am proud. My coat is beautiful from daily
grooming. And, I can run - I am not tied up to any darned thing! We all decided that I should not go to a new home for adoption but just
stay where I was. I even had a fur sister to show me the ropes. I'm going to visit the ocean and swim in the pool. Mom says that when
she looks in my eyes she can see clear through to my soul and that I am special and that I never have to worry about another thing
because that's what families do is to take care of each other. Thank you Brookline. Thank you for making me a real boy! Ahh yes, Life
is Good!

Love, Zeke
