Sydney joined our family on March 6, 2004, just in time to celebrate her 1st birthday the very next day!! From the moment we met her,
we fell in love with her expressive little face. Did we happen to mention that she has the shiniest black coat and whitest teeth you have
ever seen? Sydney was a quiet puppy at first, but soon came to be such a little personality, as she wiggled her way to the center of our
lives. Sydney loves to be with people, both big and small, and will follow them wherever they go. She is definitely a retriever, making
sure to always welcome someone at the door with one of her many toys. Her toy basket, which has more recently been over flowing
with toys, sits next to her favorite doggie bed in our family room. Sydney is also a wonderful car rider and therefore, goes wherever we
can take her. She especially enjoys visiting our relatives' houses and playing with her lab cousins, Taylor (11 yrs.) and Casey (4 yrs.).
From the start, Sydney became the leader of their pack…or should we just say "the boss?" No matter who picks up the toy, she always
ends up with it. Whether she is running and sparring outside with Casey or stealing kisses from Taylor, Sydney has become
everyone's favorite playmate. Sydney loves to go for walks, especially at lunchtime, when she meets up with another one of her
buddies - the Mailman. She starts to wiggle at first sight of the mail truck and anxiously races to its side. She greets her buddy with
much excitement and he looks down at her with a funny smile and a treat. She is every Mailman's dream : Sydney has definitely
become a fixture in our neighborhood and has made some 4- legged friends of her own. When she is not playing or investigating
things, she can always be found taking a catnap in her bed. Even though it has only been 5 months, it is hard to imagine life without
this little character. She has brought such an enormous amount of joy and laughter into our lives and the lives of all she meets. : We
would like to thank Brookline for taking such good care of Sydney and especially for bringing her into our lives. She truly is the best
little girl.
