Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue
Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
We'd like to introduce you to our new furry family member - Moses. "Mo" is a 7 year-old, 105 pound, male Labrador / Golden retriever
mix who has captured our hearts! We had been waiting patiently for a dog like Mo to come into our lives and he was definitely worth
the wait! Mo's former family is in the military and was being transferred overseas so they needed to find Mo a new, great home like
theirs. They loved Mo very much and did a great job in training him. He knows all of his basic commands, is ultra house broken, and
is great with kids and cats! So great in fact that the neighbor boys have been begging their parents for a "Mo" of their own!

Mo has quite the personality and is quite expressive with his loving brown eyes! He and our cat put on quite the performance when
the first person returns home from work. Mo sits by the door, barks and wiggles happily signally that he can't wait to be pet. The cat
yowls and paces. It's a comical orchestra. Mo gets even more excited when the second person gets home from work because he
knows that means it is time for his W-A-L-K. He heads right for where we put his leash and pulls it with his teeth as if to say "Hurry
Up, I am ready to go!". Mo loves his long daily walks.

Mo is a Velcro dog and loves to follow us around the house and outside. He sleeps in our room and rotates himself during the night
between my and my husband's sides of the bed. He loves sleeping on the bed when we are not home. His favorite place to rest
while we are home and up and about is on our tile floor in the middle of the kitchen. Mo seems to know we will walk over and around
him so he spreads himself out in his "ballerina" position with his one back leg kicked out and his one front leg kicked forward.

Mo loves all animals as long as they don't get too close to the house. He loves the other dogs, cats, rabbits; ducks, cows, and sheep
that we see on our daily walks. Mo is protective of the house and every evening sits by the doors that overlook our backyard to watch
the resident groundhog that lives in the woods. Mo watches him intently until it is dark and growls and barks if he gets to close.

Our four year old niece adores Mo. She loves his long purple tongue! Mo sits patiently as she tries to dress him up in her dolly
clothes and tell him what he needs to 'pretend to do' in her make believe world. When she spends the night she has told us that she
is not afraid to sleep by herself because she knows that Mo will bark if there is anything scary nearby.

Mo has adjusted very well to life in our home. We are looking forward to many wonderful years with Mo and would like to thank his
family for raising such a warm, loving, and well trained dog. We know their decision couldn't have been easy and want them to know
that we love Mo and promise to take very good care of him. A special thank you to you and the Brookline Rescue for giving us Mo and
making our family complete!
