Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue
Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
Mason came to Brookline through a shelter in the Harrisburg area, they were having a
hard time placing him and his time was up. They say he saw a stray, no name and very
underweight. When the new foster family picked him up they were told he didn’t have
many manners and wasn’t house broken. He stayed with his foster family, 2 boys and 2
doggie brothers. He soon picked up on where to do his business and learned what was
acceptable and what wasn’t. Mason was skinny when he first entered foster care but
soon began to put on some pounds and his personality soon emerged. Mason is almost
2 and still learning new things but we are very proud at how far he has come along.

After recovering from surgery and settling in Mason then began his quest to win his foster
family over to have a permanent home with them.. Dad wasn’t too hard to convince, he
would sit at night after he came home and just gaze at him with those big brown eyes as
Mason
to say, “ Love me .. Please just love me “. The kids also weren’t too hard to get to say yes, so mom was the last to work on. Well since
she was out numbered Mason won.

We became “foster flunkies” and adopted Mason and have not regretted it one day. He now lives with his 2 labbie brothers and we
still continue to foster dogs. I keep on telling the new foster dogs that enter our home, you can’t stay your just passing through and
Mason just sits there and looks.

I think it is good dogs can’t talk. ; - )
