Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
|

Brookline was asked to help Madie, then a 5 month old puppy. She was adopted by an individual who
became ill and could no longer care for her. A friend of the owner took Madie in but was unable to keep her.
This friend was unaware of normal puppy behavior and kept her either crated or tied to a door in the home.
Poor Madie had months of pent up puppy energy!
We were able to offer Madie a foster home with 2 human boys and 3 fur boys. Her foster home, who has
fostered several dogs for Brookline, always managed to stay one step ahead of her puppy energy! In no
time, Madie was swept up by a family looking to adopt a puppy after just losing their two beloved labs within
months of each other.
Madie now happily lives with her very own mom, dad, a human sister and 2 brothers. They laugh at her
antics and she now keeps them on their toes! She is still burning off her puppy energy and we expect to
continue to hear great things about her as she matures! Of course, standing on the picnic table and getting
a trash can lid stuck on your head are good things to a puppy, right?
