Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
Kona
Hi my name is Kona. I was adopted by my awesome new forever family in November 2006. When I first met them, my tail was wagging
and I got to meet my two new doggie sisters. I was excited to meet them and I could tell that they would love me so much. I have an 8
year old human sister too. She loves to pet me and give me lots of kisses. My mother keeps rubbing my ears and telling me how
much I am loved. My father can't wait to get home at night from work to see me and give me some kisses. I was a little over weight
when I arrived so my new family cut back on my food a little and took  me for lots of walks. They take me for walks a lot and it is fun to
look at all the trees and mark my territory every other block. I am now at my perfect weight and I play a lot better with my doggie sisters.
I also had a little arthritis in my legs so my family put me on some medication and now I love to run outside and try to catch the
squirrels and birds. My father loves to throw a ball out to the yard and I go and retrieve it and it is so cool to see him get so excited
when I bring it back to him. I never thought that I would be so loved and appreciated. I am so spoiled. I get to have real fluffy bed to
sleep on and in the morning when my father goes to work, he picks me up and puts me on the bed with my mom. I love to curl up next
to her. I get lots of treats too. I am so happy here and I am so glad that I found my forever home through Brookline Lab Rescue. My
family tells me that they were great to work with and they will someday get another dog through Brookline Lab Rescue.
