Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue
Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
Hi, my name is Katie. I was 10 months old when I came into foster care in November, 2005. I was kept outside in a pen
away from human contact and it was freezing out there. I did not even know what a toy was or that I could play with it. I was
also very timid and shy especially around men. On November 19th I went to my potential furever home. I was only with my
family for one week and they sent my foster Mom an email that I was a part of their family now and when could we do the
finalization for adoption. It was love at first sight for them and me. They have two wonderful children who are so patient with
me and kind. We love to play fetch in the back yard and I am having the time of my life! I wait every afternoon for the sound of
the school bus to welcome home my kids from school so we can play! I am also getting over my shyness with men and
have really taken to my new Dad. He takes me for rides in his truck and I love it. As for my Mom, well what more can you say
when the kids are so loving and patient with me must have everything to do with Mom and the raising of those great kids. I
needed a soft spoken family not too busy, kind and loving to bring out the sunshine in my personality and I have found it here
with my furever family. Thank you to Brookline for saving my life and to my adoptive family for loving me and keeping me
warm on those long cold winter nights!! Doggy life is great when you have a family to love and who loves you just as much!
