Happy New Year to Everyone!

I'm writing this letter to let all of you know how happy I am. I was officially adopted on December 8, 2005. My new mom and dad love
me so much. Each day they tell me how good I am and how much I mean to them.
I am being such a good girl, and I have the run of the house. I had a couple of accidents when I moved here. Since then, I have
behaved perfectly. I eat all of my breakfast and dinner--never leave a drop! Each day I go for a 2-3 mile walk. I'm not the greatest walker
on a leash, but I will be going to school soon. Hopefully, they teach Walking 101.
My backyard is completely fenced in, so there is lots of room for me to run and roam. I love chasing the squirrels but never am quite
quick enough to catch them before they go up a tree. I am looking forward to summer when I can go swimming in the pool.
Besides Mom and Dad, Myah, the diva cat, lives in the house. I hate to admit it, but she is the boss. I would really love to play with her,
but she says "NO"! We get very close to each other, so things are getting better each day.
I have my bed in the bedroom, but I have a much cozier spot--the couch in the den! That is usually where I spend the night. I sleep all
night and never wake anyone to take me out to go potty. Sometimes I wish I had a litter box like Myah.
Christmas was wonderful. Santa was good to me. My favorite gift was a rawhide bone from my human brother Steve. When dinner
was served, I found a good place to lie--right under the dining room table. I never beg for food, but treats are given to me when I'm very
good. I want to keep my slim, sleek figure.
I have dog friends in the neighborhood. Buoy, my buddy next door, is Portuguese water dog. We race all around together. Max is a
golden retriever. I'm not sure about him yet. Sam, a chocolate lab, lives right up the street. I visit him when I walk.
There are two people who are most responsible for my being such a happy and contented dog. They are my Brookline volunteers.
They worked so hard to find just the right dog for my mom and dad. Other dogs were presented to Mom and Dad as possibilities. They
must have known I was "waiting in the wings" for a new home.
This is the happiest I have ever been! To be loved by Mom, Dad, Steve and Rick is the greatest feeling!
A special thank you goes to Brookline Lab Rescue for having such wonderful volunteers!!

Love,

GYPSY
