Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
|

Hello to everyone in Labville. We wanted to share our success story to all of you folks that are surfing the wonderful lab rescue web
site.
My wife, Kim, and I previously owned two loveable yellow labs, which passed away within a few years of each other. After the death of
Xena, we decided to honor her passing and take some time off from owning dogs. We also wanted to wait until our son grew a little
older before raising dogs again.
The year and a half wait proved to be well worth it. We did computer searches which lead us to Brookline Lab rescue. We read all
about the wonderful work that these folks do and checked out all of those loveable mug shots on the web site. After submitting our
application we promptly heard from Mary and Peggy McGee. They paid a visit to our home to interview us, and then began the work of
helping us find the right dog for our family, especially for our five year old son Jackson.
After a few weeks of diligent searching, Peggy and Mary conjured our interest in the dynamic duo, Dottie and Buck. Dottie is an
adorable 2.5 year old yellow lab and Buck is a big handsome 1.5 year old 100 lbs black lab. They were a package deal who where
sent to the rescue after their owner passed away.
It was in the mutual interest of our family and the rescue to keep these two cuties together. So we did just that. We are happy to report
that both are doing just fine. They are incredible dogs with great dispositions and are great with kids as well. We really enjoy them
being in our lives and just love them to pieces.
Thanks so much to Mary and Peggy and to everyone at Brookline. These folks do a remarkable selfless work, all in the name of those
loveable labs.
Thank you sincerely,
Brendan, Kim and Jackson Cross
