Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
|
Buddy initially came to our house in August of 2007 as a foster dog. He was described as a barker and jumped up on the cage
when people came to see him at the shelter. He weighed 56lbs when we got him and you could see his ribs. He had roundworm
and tapeworm. I thought his stools would never firm up but they did. When a family was interested in adopting Buddy we decided
we could not let him go, he had become a part of our family.
He doesn't really bark, still jumps but it is decreasing in frequency. He doesn't stray when off his leash. He has gained weight, up
to 65lbs. He has taught my other yellow lab how to play, use her paws when grabbing for bones or toys. Buddy has only given us
love and loyalty. We are very happy home with our new addition.
