Due to the availability of volunteers in some cities and towns, we may not be able to cover all the cities
and/or towns listed on our coverage map.  If your application is received and we are unable to continue
the adoption process, you will be contacted by a representative of the Rescue.

Maps of Brookline's coverage areas can be accessed through the links below - be patient, the files are
large and may take a minute to download. Each map shows a colored area indicating which locations are
currently served by Brookline volunteers. These are the ONLY areas we can currently cover. If you are
outside our coverage area, please refer to our list of other rescue organizations on our Resources & Links
page.

Area 1 - Altoona, PA and surrounding area - Volunteers needed, please apply to volunteer
Area 2 - Bedford, PA and surrounding area, closed at this time
Area 3 - Harrisburg, PA (including Carlisle, Millersburg, Manheim, Elizabethtown, Shippensburg, Perry
County, Lancaster)
Area 4 - Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties - north to Easton and west to Reading -
We have limited coverage in several areas of Area 4, so please contact us with your location before
proceeding if you live in Area 4.  Volunteers are needed in Area 4, please apply today!
Area 5 - New Jersey (Burlington and Camden Counties) - Please allow 4-6 weeks for application handling.

Area 6 - Central Southeastern PA including Delaware and Chester counties, eastern Lancaster county
Area 7 - State College, PA and surrounding area - Volunteers needed, please apply to volunteer
Area 8 - Waynesboro, PA and surrounding area, including Hagerstown, MD
Area 9 - Allentown, PA and surrounding Lehigh Valley area, Expect a 4-6 week wait for this area
Due to a lack of volunteers in this area, we will be unable to process any requests until after June 1, 2008.

Please note that applicants in parts of Areas 4 ,5 and 6 may have up to a four week wait between when we
receive their application and when the home visit can be completed. A volunteer will contact you within 10
days of receipt of your application to schedule your home visit.
