LITTLE BETTY and her littermates were rescued and transported to their new foster home. One by
one, the puppies started to get sick and were rushed to the veterinarian for treatment. It was thought
to be the Parvo virus which can be deadly for young puppies. Thinking that only two puppies were
sick, we moved the remainder of the litter to another foster home. Within 3 days, the other pups were
in the emergency veterinary hospital being supported on IV fluid. There is no cure for Parvo, just
supportive care. Thanks to their great foster homes, every puppy survived and has since found their
forever home. The cost for the emergency room care for these helpless pups was well into the
thousands of dollars.
