I’m sorry that I did not respond to your request for updates to Hailey’s blog. The update is – please remove her from the available list. We want to adopt her. She is just the sweetest little girl! We’ll update you on her when you come to finalize everything.

Girl, do I have a story to tell you. Last weekend during that wicked rain storm, some wacky Brookline ladies sprung me from the kennel. We drove for a long time and ended up at a park. Next thing you know this Brookline lady is telling me it was time for a walk. Let me tell you these are nice ladies, but I think they are a little bit crazy too. Talk about raining cats and dogs! Well just to make them happy I decided to oblige them, after all I mean a girl does have to do her business some time. When I got out of the car, jumping geezers but what do I see? The most delicious piece of chocolate my eyes ever witnessed.

I quickly pulled my stomach in (not easy for someone who has 5 litters!) and started wagging my tail grab his attention. Turns out his name is Berkey and he was super nice (not at all hung up on his own good looks). He does move fast (maybe it was because of the rain?) and he asked me to come over and check out his digs. Berkey said his human peeps are really cool and they always let him have sleepovers. I thought it best to play hard to get and I told him I’d stop by but I wouldn’t commit to a sleepover. Luckily Berkey lived close to the park and it was a quick 5 minute drive. Let me tell you girlfriend his digs are sweet. Berkey is one spoiled dog! He has more toys then any one dog can imagine and he even has his own swimming pool! I’ll tell you it was getting more difficult to play hard to get. After I got done touring his estate I settled a bit and checked out his Mom & Dad. Well Berkey was right they are super cool. They treated me like I was one of the family. They even gave me some brand new balls to play and smothered me with tons of pets and cuddles, then they invited me to sleepover.

What’s a girl to do? I had to say yes, the rest is history as they say. I have been hanging out here learning the ropes and trying to be super good. I heard Berkey’s mom say I am “quick little learner and that I am so sweet”. As for me and Berkey, we are finding our way. I am what you call a “nervous nellie” as I get overloaded fairly easy. Pretty understandably don’t you think for a gal with my life story? Lucky for me Berkey’s folks know to anticipate and deal with it before I get all flustered. Did I tell you I love love love to cuddle and give kisses?

I am getting and giving a lot of that here. OK gotta run, Berkey wants to play.

I went over to Quakertown today to visit with Hailey for a bit. I was able to get a half day off from school so I went about 12:30ish and stayed until 2.
We didn’t walk due to the snow–instead they put us in a private room , with enough space for Hailey to run around and explore. She had a ton of belly rubs and kisses–in fact, she would take a turn exploring and then would run back to me for more love. What a sweetie! I was calling her “Honey Hailey” because she really is a honey!!
Her caretakers say that she is doing well. She is fine through the nights and doesnt bark much. I was sad to say good-bye, but plan on going back Saturday afternoon–this time hopefully, for a real walk!
Hailey is a real darling.

Hello,
Hailey is doing great. She is a very sweet girl and is laying on the cuteness very good whenever anyone walks past her run. She stands there so cute wagging her tail with her tennis ball in her mouth. Hopefully she should be pretty easy to be placed, she seems like a really great dog.
Thank you,
Kennel Manager

Hailey needs to be moved from Lisa’s home ASAP. Her eldest daughter had a baby and needs her help and since Hailey isn’t left home alone b/c she barks we need to move her. She is in heat currently and will more than likely be boarded until we can get her moved.
Valentine’s Day may be over but, there it is always time for CHOCOLATE!
Hi I am Hailey and I am one lucky gal because I am one of Brookline way cool foster dogs. I found my way into a BLRR foster home on February 3, 2010. At first my foster mom got a little nervous because I barked when she left me home alone! You know it was sort of like that movie, AHHHHH! My foster mom only works a few days a week so I have been spending that time at a boarding kennel. She also has started to let me home alone little bits at a time when she takes the kids to school. She is working on letting me spend more time home alone so I get used to it. I live with 2 fur sisters too! Took me a couple of days to blend into their pack and I would grumble at them a little bit but, that was all! Like to be petted, lots and lots! I am a good eater but, can be a little bit of a piggy and eat too fast! I am a LAB!
My foster mom has taught me the art of walking on a leash and I LOVE to chase anything and bring it right back! I don’t like to be in a crate but, am ok with being confined to an area like a bathroom and I am not destructive. Which is good because I hadn’t lived in a house before this and I have some accidents sometimes but, I am getting better and better everyday with only going potty outside!
The good news is that I am scheduled to get “fixed”, whatever that means, on March 8th! The bad news is that I just went into heat so I don’t know if I can still get “fixed”. The really bad news is that I am not sure when I can start looking for my furrever family because of this! So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, keep checking back with me and I will be sure to let you know when I am ready to meet my new family!
Hailey
