Gus

Hi everybody! I’m Gus. I’m what they call a yellow dudley. I’m all lab, I just don’t have any of that black guy liner around my eyes, nose and lips like some other labs do. I was a stray and was very thin when I was taken into a shelter. The nice people at the shelter helped me put on a few pounds and called Brookline. I’m still thin but I’m getting lots of good food and plenty of exercise in my foster home so I’m starting to fill out a bit. Since I was a stray, we’re really not sure how old I am but we think I’m about 2 years old.
I’m a very energetic young man. I take long walks almost every day. I pull so FM uses a pinch collar and that makes it easy for her. Even after my walks, I want to roughhouse and tug with my fur foster brother Huck. I’ve just completed my training on the electric fence so now Huck and I roughhouse in the yard and play fetch with FD. I like to play and prance around with a toy in my mouth. I especially like to carry around the Wubba and make it squeak in Huck’s face while he’s trying to nap. I love to wag my tail. I wag it so hard, my entire body squiggles. I also like to snuggle with Huck or my foster parents. Sometimes FM sits on the floor with me and I try to sit on her lap but I’m too big. If she tries to read, I try to steal her book so she gives me a chew toy and I’m happy lying with her, chewing on my toy.
If no one is home, I stay in a crate. I don’t like to be in the crate but I have no trouble going in for a treat. The first time they put me in the crate, I was able to escape but they outsmarted me by adding some extra ‘security options’ and now I can’t get out.
I’ve fully recovered from my neutering surgery so FM says that I’m ready to be adopted so keep an eye out for my posting as well as more blog updates.
Snugs and sloppy kisses,Gus
