“Until one has loved an animal a part of one’s soul remains unawakened”
Anatole France, Literature Nobel Prize Winner 1921

Fostering a dog can be one of the most rewarding experiences a dog lover can have. The feeling of satisfaction that comes from having such a strong sense of compassion for another creature is as great for some as winning the lottery. Yet, the number of dogs in need of our help often exceeds the number of foster homes we have available. We are always looking for foster homes – the more foster homes we have, the more Labs to whom we can give a second chance. Your commitment to foster may very well make the difference between life and death for a Lab! We’ve exceeded our goal of adding 15 new foster homes in celebration of our 15th anniversary, but shelters are full to capacity and many Labs are still anxiously awaiting our help. We rely on our foster homes to provide the care these Labs need to transition to a new home.
