Journey Chocolate Labrador Retriever Female 14 Years Old ID #2380

March 4, 2020

Sweet lovely Journey is settling in nicely. She prefers to sleep in the main level family room as the steps going to the bedrooms are too steep for her. chocolate labrador retriever She knows sit and stay although she will bashfully sneak up on you in the kitchen so you don’t forget to give her a treat.  yellow and two chocolate labrador retrieverShe LOVES toys and when I am in another part of the house, I can hear her tossing a stuffed animal around and pouncing on it. That only lasts a few minutes and then she’s ready for a nap. She is really such a good girl.chocolate labrador retriever

She gets along just fine with my Harley and Sammie … although they are being total brats and not interacting much. I think it’s because she is on the voluptuous side and they are intimidated!!!!!!!yellow and two chocolate labrador retriever

Journey is free from ACCT!  Poor, sweet girl has had a rough several days since being surrendered by the only family she knew.  When I picked her up, she seemed more than ready to bust out of that place and seemed excited and anxious as we drove back to South Jersey.

Being home for the last few hours, Journey has been a little restless.  BUT, even at the age of 14 she’s still very interested in playing with tennis balls.  It’s was very cute to see her still very active and spry playing with the ball.  She is getting along with my other two dogs and is now enjoying the peace and quiet tonight. chocolate labrador retriever

Tomorrow, she’s going to the vet for a senior wellness check-up.  She has a lot of lumps and bumps along with some aches and pains. 🙁
