Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue
Helping Labs Find Their Fur-Ever Homes
Today, we have over 100 volunteers and have expanded our coverage areas into numerous parts of
Eastern and Central Pennsylvania and even Southern New Jersey.  Volunteers are trained by senior
volunteers to do home visits and dog evaluations.  Our foster homes open their hearts and homes to
foster dogs in the hopes that saving one more Lab will make a difference and it does!  Thanks to the
dedication of our volunteers and foster homes, we now place approximately 100 Labs a year.

We’ve come a long way in 15 years and I am proud to be a part of this wonderful Rescue for the last 13
years. I look forward to helping even more Labs in the years to come!

One thing has not changed over these past 13 years. There has always been an abundance of Labs
that need to be rescued.  Brookline does not operate a kennel.  We depend on our volunteer foster
homes to help transition rescued Labs into their furever homes.  Our foster homes play a critical role in
Brookline helping as many Labs as we do.   As with most rescues, we would like to do more.  In honor
of our 15th Anniversary as Brookline Lab Rescue, we have set a goal of obtaining 15 new foster homes
from July 1, 2012 through July 1, 2013.
Won’t you help us meet this goal by volunteering to be a foster
home?

If you are unable to foster, you can still be a vital part of our Rescue by helping us find good homes and
adopters, evaluating dogs being surrendered, working at our fundraisers or even just making phone
calls for us. Click

You can make a difference in the lives of our Labs. And remember, when you give the gift of your time,
you’ll get back as much as you give—maybe even more! With your help, perhaps our next goal can be
saving 200 or more Labs per year!

Marie Krout, President
